Trinity Inlet
Cruise down the inlet with its backdrop of green hills and mangrove forests fringing the water's edge. This is where locals like to spend time - close to the city with an abundance of wildlife, i.e. pelicans, egrets and eagles feasting on a variety of fish.
Leave the busy Marina and moorings behind and you are soon exploring creeks and inlets - watching out for the elusive crocodile or barramundi. The history of the area is reflected in some of the more colourful names of the creeks such as, Chinaman, Blackfellow and Skeleton Creeks.
The Inlet is a very active crocodile environment so we don’t recommend you swim at all. People have enjoyed a swim at times for very short periods and in the main waterway.
Weather
Trinity inlet is a huge cyclone shelter region where all the marine vessels head when a cyclone is threatening. Miles of smooth sheltered water in any weather. Fishing is great in the rain during the wet season too. There are times when weather prevents many activities from operating, not so with boating on Trinity inlet, they are our busier days.
